Certified PMP, UC Davis MBA Ambassador
Over the past 20 years, I have built a successful and solid career in the Healthcare IT industry. Prior to joining UC Davis Health as a Senior Project Manager, I was the President & Executive Consultant of EHR Management for 10 years, and served as a preferred consulting vendor in the professional services & client delivery space, for large enterprise hospital systems and ambulatory healthcare clinics across the US. Outside of work, I've served as Executive Director and Pastor of a Non-Profit organization, Christian Faith Nation Church, and then after closing our doors in 2013, I continued the ministry of The Call to Virtue – Discipleship & Fellowship Ministries, from 2007 until now. My ministry consists of providing spiritual leadership through teaching and training, providing guidance counsel, coaching, speaking engagements, and conducting marriage ceremonies, workshops and retreats. I've always had a desire to help people in the areas of spiritual, personal and professional development.
More About Me
For most of my professional life, I have had a dual existence as a Technical IT professional and a Pastor. In previous years, I considered myself bi-vocational, meaning "holding down two jobs at the same time", because each of these two very important parts of my life was separate. As exhausting as it was, managing my time across dual parts of my life, and trying to balance the responsibilities of both work and ministry, I thought that this was just the way that it was for multifaceted people like me, who are called to both ministry and the marketplace, but I now realize that there is a better approach to making a living and serving those that God has called me to. Did you know there is a distinction between the Bi-vocational and the Co-vocational leader? Bi-vocational leaders serve the church but do not depend on the church for his or her primary source of income. They essentially have two jobs. But “a Co-vocational leader embodies the idea that different callings are interlinked and equal." For example, if someone is called to be a dentist, teacher, or plumber, and is also called to start a church, the callings are not isolated from one another. A Co-vocation is an integrated approach to caring for oneself and serving others; a concept that acknowledges that a person's callings are not separate, but instead, intertwined. It's about aligning one's life to support oneself and their family, while also engaging in God's mission, whatever that mission is. This is why I've developed the Life Sync brand of products and services. Social Sync is a brand development and digital media management company of products and services for multifaceted/ multi-gifted people who desire a more holistic way of approaching their profession and their passion in life - a more authentic way to represent their brands.
